I recently had Reed and Son Services install a whole house water filter, a salt-based water softener, a Moen leak shut-off valve, and a new outdoor hose bib at my house.

They gave me a bid on Monday, I accepted on Tuesday, and at my request they came out the following Monday afternoon. Chad and Nicholas showed up right on time, started around 1:00, and had everything finished before 5:00.

The guys were professional, cleaned up everything after themselves, and took the time to answer all of my questions. The work turned out better than I expected, and the price was very reasonable. I'm really happy with how everything looks and functions now.

This review is for the estimate and installation of a hot water heater. We called and received a next day appointment and they were able to show up 3-4 hours early! Hunter & Vince were professional, kind, empathetic to our situation, and good with toddlers. They did a great job installing the HWH and cleaned up after themselves. Our hot water heater got burned out in a storm power surge. Called Reed & Son at 7:45 am on Friday. Butch and Colin arrived about 8:45, diagnosed the demise of our heater and were able to install a new heater by 11:45! Butch & Colin were professional and efficient!

Short backstory
Bought a house here in Mount Airy about six months ago. About three months ago, we had some leaking in the basement that occurred from our sewer line being invaded by a tree root.
Of course it was such a hassle Having just bought a new home and having to deal with this new headache. I called multiple companies and of course I used reading sons because they were highly recommended .

Reed & Son are the epitome of good service. Excellent in every way. My sump pump drain pipe was leaking badly, and I called them to see if they could get someone out to my house right away. From the time I hung up the phone to the time the technicians arrived was only a matter of about 15 minutes (full disclosure: they were just finishing a job only about a mile away...but I'm still impressed!). They quickly assessed the problem and got to work. Turns out that when they repowered my 30-year old, mineral-clogged pump it refused to come back on. So...new sump pump. But they had the job completed in just a little over an hour, and at a reasonable price. Chad and Nicholas, along with being very knowledgeable and efficient, were friendly and courteous...and definitely assets to the company.

In short, if I have any plumbing needs in the future I'll definitely know who to call...Reed & Son
