They arrived quickly, clean uniforms, put on booties, laid out drop clothes, promptly snaked our pipe, explained the issue, provided future steps, and cleaned up. Reasonable price for two people for the length of time on site and equipment used.

When our kitchen sink backed up, we called Reed and Sons. They responded quickly and came 2 hours earlier than they originally scheduled our work. In the meantime, though, we were able to dislodge our clog, on our own. Reed was advised of this when they called to say they would be early but Nick came out, with our approval, anyway, to check that everything was indeed OK. We were not charged which left us with the opinion that this company goes the extra mile. We are strongly considering them for future necessary plumbing updates to our aging home.

Toilet repair needed

I had a toilet in an older home that has never been right. It wobbled and moved and was generally unstable. Turns out it was installed incorrectly largely because the cast iron waste pipe was too far below the floor surface. Vince was able to architect a solution using a special order extended cast iron flange and attach it the old fashioned way using melted lead and oakum. Read & Son, specifically Vince and his assistant, have helped me on numerous occasions solve less than straightforward issues. They are the best!

Vince, Nick, and Matt were outstanding and completely changed our well water situation. We finally have softer water and the install they performed was seamless and we noticed changes immediately. As well as being the nicest group of guys and very easy to work with. Vince educated us on multiple other aspects of our houses water and things to watch out for in the future.

We contacted Patrick yesterday morning regarding a leak we had in our basement office. We expressed our concerns about having to turn the water off in our house with 3 young children, and he immediately offered to have someone out the same day. Since we couldn’t make that work, he was able to send Joe out the next day who found, and fixed the issue in just under 1 1/2 hours. Joe was very thorough, and an absolute professional. We woke up without water. Our well pump had broken.
